Emerald Oaks is nestled in between beautiful orchards in a quiet area away from the busy streets of Yuba City and the traffic of Highway 99. The mediterranean style interior matches the quiet and serene feeling in the building. Music plays occasionally in the foyer where residents can spend their time chatting with staff, healthcare professionals, other residents and family members. Our office is always open and available for residents and visitors to come in and ask questions, request assistance, or simply sit and chat. Just past the foyer is a computer area as well as an extensive library with books for residents to sit and enjoy reading. Emerald Oaks is privileged to offer two activity rooms. One is located adjacent to the foyer with puzzles and crafts set out for the convenience of our residents to wander in and engage. Our activity director has her office in this space and this activity room is where she leads morning exercises. The second activity room is located towards the rear of our building with a large flatscreen television, offering a larger seating area for group activities and allowing more space for our residents to participate. This activity room also has a french door that opens to our beautiful garden and backyard patio where residents enjoy sitting outside. The patio leads to our garden for residents to plant fruits and vegetables. As Emerald’s crown jewel, the dining hall is where all our residents congregate to enjoy meals together and socialize. Impressive picture windows shine light into the grand hall where residents and visitors alike share stories and break bread.  We welcome and encourage you to visit and hope you and your family feel the same warm, inviting, home-like feeling that we do here at Emerald Oaks.

Emerald Oaks offers two different room layouts. Companion rooms offer a resident the opportunity to build a close relationship with the person with whom they share a room.  This option often aids elderly as they transition to senior living to avoid isolation and prevent loneliness. Private rooms are available for residents that prefer independence and enjoy their own private space when they have family and friends visit. Emerald Oaks is happy to provide basic furniture for our residents when they move in. Encouraging the decoration of their rooms to their liking is important to create a familiar, home-like environment. We pride ourselves in helping create a home for our residents so they feel comfortable, safe, and cared for. Each room, be it companion or private, offers an ensuite restroom with a sink. Shower rooms, for safety reasons are located a few doors down. They are generously proportioned with a full half wall allowing for resident privacy and dignity yet still having a care staff present in the room to assist when need be.
